Toro Rider Mowers Recall
Toro Riding Mowers issued a voluntary recall of its Toro Z® Master Riding Mowers due to fire hazard. The hazard can be caused when the traction belt wears through the mower’s fuel tank, causing a rupture, and resulting in a fuel leak. This fuel leak poses a serious risk of fire hazard to consumers.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission along with Health Canada, have issued the recall in cooperation with the Toro Co., of Bloomington, Minnesota. Â Unless otherwise indicated by Toro, the U.S or Canadian Safety organizations, consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately.
A more complete recall list appears below, including:
- Model #74141, including serial numbers 31200010 to 312000784
- Model #74143, including serial numbers 312000101 to 312000887; and
- Model #74145, including serial numbers 312000101 to 312001178
The total number for the recall fall around 2600 mowers in the U.S. and 31 in Canada between January through August of this year.
Toro has been making all efforts to contact all registered owners of the recalled mowers.
